Nazroo, a mahout (elephant driver), poses for a portrait while taking his elephant, Rajan, out for a swim in front of Radha Nagar Beach in Havelock, Andaman Islands. Rajan is one of the few elephants in Havelock that can swim, so when he is not dragging timber in the forest he is used as a tourist attraction. The relationship between the mahout and his elephant usually lasts for their entire lives, creating an extremely strong tie between the animal and the human being. so i tried apologizing (we don’t call each other baby but that’s good advice too), and he just kept telling me it was hard to accept.
because i did say some really mean things.
i was reeally mad.

so now i’m trying not to cry like a whale that just got stepped on, and he’s ignoring me. should i just give him time, or persist?

well i’d just give him time, and then when time is had( a day or two), appologize again. don’t just say im sorry and stuff, explain to him what was going on with you and why you’re sorry. then give him more time if need be.

so i treated my boyfriend really crappily (real word?) earlier today, and i’m worried that my apology will sound dumb.

how can i be sincere without sounding insincere and stupid? :)

sam, i think you just have to be honest, and i think the more you mean what you’re saying it will sound more sincere. i don’t know but i think you’ll be fine! as long as you just feel sincere about hurting him, and i dunno add “baby” in everyonce in a while :)
